kasneb and the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA) and kasneb agreed to build cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on “Enhancing the quality of the Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA) examination and Growth and Development of the Investment and Financial Analysis Profession”. The MoU signing took place at ICIFA offices, 5th Floor, Kasneb Tower II, on Wednesday, 24 April 2019.
This MoU was signed by Ag. Chief Executive Officer of Kasneb, FA Isaac Njuguna, Chairman of ICIFA, FA Job Kihumba and Chief Executive Officer of ICIFA, FA Diana Muriuki. The MoU forms the basis of mutual commitment in establishing a framework for co-operation and support; and to facilitate the exchange of information between the two organizations. This partnership is envisioned to enforce the quality of the Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA) examination and the growth of the investment and financial analysis profession in the Kenyan financial markets and beyond. The partnership will further endeavor to implement a practical experience framework for trainee investment and financial analysts. In addition, the MoU states that all CIFA students registered with kasneb will also be registered as student members with ICIFA.
The agreement also enables both parties to jointly; enhance and facilitate the promotion of the course; facilitate the review of the curriculum or syllabus; and participate in the formation and appointment of a Joint Steering Committee composed of representatives from the two parties to manage, evaluate and monitor the course.
